Sound Healing

As stated, I like to offer sound baths for groups in addition to clinical counselling and breathwork. My interest in sound baths began in 2024, when I had a few profound experiences as a participant.

Since then, I have completed a facilitator training with Mystic Meditations (August 2025). I intend to continue to focus on developing my skillset through additional training and ongoing practice.

What to expect:

A sound bath is typically about 60-75 minutes minutes in duration (including introductions and closing). Participants lie on their backs for the duration of the meditation, with participants usually bringing their own yoga mat, and/or blanket/pillow for comfort

A session will usually be structured like this:

  • 5-10 minutes for intros and grounding/intention setting

  • 40-50 minutes for session itself (including various instruments)

  • 10-15 minutes for closing and debriefing

Benefits from sound baths:

  • Stress reduction

  • Improved sleep quality

  • Emotional release/processing

I feel it's important for me to recognize that many of the instruments and methods within a sound bath are from various cultures and backgrounds. I am aware that as a white person, the line between appropriation and appreciation/honoring may not be evident from the outside.

Please know it is not my intention to bastardize any practice from another background, and it is very much my intention to share and hopefully provide a space of healing and community as I feel these spaces within these influencing communities have been for me.

That being said, I would welcome any discussion around this if you are called to share your thoughts on this matter. â€‹â€‹â€‹
