I am in the process of completing a course for breathwork facilitation, and am looking for participants for my training. It would be free or by donation, anything you're called to give in terms of gratitude would be welcome. At this time, the breathwork I provide will be 1 on 1 ( no groups).

In terms of the practice, breathwork typically lasts for 45-60 minutes (can discuss shorter for first time if desired). Participants lie down and breathe in a continual and circular rhythm.

The breathing pattern itself starts with breathing up through the belly, then following up to the chest and out through the mouth. Participants, if they can, are to maintain this breathing pattern throughout the session (no holding or pausing breath). I encourage clients to bring water with them, as participants have told me that breathwork can be dehydrating. 

 

The facilitator supports via gentle hands on touch, presence, and verbal guidance throughout. Touch can be on the chest, stomach, shoulders, and legs. Please know this approach is collaborative and trauma informed, so comfort with touch will be discussed prior to the practice during intake.

I have had clients tell me that breathwork has been relaxing, while others have shared insights into themselves, and how breathwork has helped them process and release trauma and repressed emotions/feelings.
